The Zhou period of China is brought to life again with Pallas®, Fu Hao. The rich coloration and texture of this textile are reminiscent of the ancestral, royal burial suits, which were constructed of jade plaques sewn with gold thread. The Chinese believed that these plaques would preserve the bodies of their deceased. Fu Hao is a mirage of soft colors and textures within a subtle grid and its irregular, dimensional texture has the look of a doupioni silk.
